We’re happy to share two upgrades that make it easier than ever to work with us: free virtual chimney assessments and text-based appointment scheduling. Both are now live and available to every homeowner in our service area across Hartford, Tolland, and Litchfield counties.

The Old Way

For thirty years, our estimate process looked the same. You called the office, we scheduled a site visit, a technician drove out to your house, walked the exterior and the firebox, and got back to you with a quote. Reliable, thorough, and — for a lot of homeowners — a hassle to coordinate.

Two problems came up over and over:

1. Scheduling was slow. Most homeowners work during the day. Coordinating a weekday site visit meant taking time off or waiting for a Saturday slot.
2. Simple questions needed a full site visit. “How much does a cap cost for a chimney this size?” shouldn’t require a truck, a technician, and an hour of your afternoon.

The New Way

Now you have three options depending on the job:

Text a few photos. For most straightforward questions — cap replacement, obvious flashing failure, a leaning chimney you want an opinion on — you send us 3–5 photos from ground level and the roof if you can safely get up there. We reply with an assessment and a ballpark quote, usually within one business day.

Quick video call. For anything more complex — you want a second opinion on damage you’re worried about, or you have specific questions about relining vs rebuild — hop on a short video call with a CSIA-certified technician. We can see what you see, ask follow-up questions in real time, and send a written quote afterward.

In-person visit. For actual sweeps, chimney inspections, and any work that requires a real diagnostic, we still show up in person. Nothing replaces boots on the roof for the work itself.

Text-Based Scheduling

Booking your visit is now just as simple. Text us:

• Your address (so we can confirm we serve your area)
• What you’re looking for (sweep, inspection, quote on X)
• Windows that work for you

We text back available slots and a firm price. No phone tag, no waiting for the office to open.

Why We Added This Now

Two reasons, honestly:

1. You asked for it. Enough customers mentioned wanting a faster, less-scheduled way to get a quote that we finally built it.
2. It’s genuinely better for straightforward jobs. For a cap install or a flashing repair, a virtual assessment is usually accurate to within 10–15%. For anything larger, we’re upfront that an in-person confirmation may adjust the number.

What Hasn’t Changed

Everything we’re known for is still exactly the same:

• CSIA certification on every technician
• White-glove cleanup after every masonry job
• NCSG membership and annual continuing education
• Free in-person estimates for anyone who prefers them
• Written quotes on everything
